Directions:
1. Prepare artichokes: cut in half, remove choke. In saucepan heat 2 tbsp oil, briefly sauté artichokes.
2. In another saucepan, heat remaining 2 tbsp oil. Sauté onion, garlic, and prosciutto, until onion turns golden. Add lamb chops, cook 5 minutes, turning. Gradually add 1/2 cup wine.
3. Remove garlic, add lemon juice, tomatoes, marjoram, salt, and pepper, (Add an extra 1/2 cup wine for medium-cooked chops; an extra cup for well-done.) Cook until sauce reduces. 5 minutes before cooking finishes, add artichokes.
